A Family That Plays Together...
...stays together. No, that isn't how it really goes. It is supposed to be the family that prays together stays together, but the playing part sounded good with this blog (although we do pray together too). Our kids are at such a fun age to play games. We love all kinds of games, especially ones that can involve the whole family. Caleb and Micah have moved on to bigger kid games. They love Monopoly, Stratego (which was a game Bobby played as a kid), Chess, Checkers, Phase 10, Clue, Battleship and the list could go on. We have a closet full of games. Trinity and Zion will watch us play the big kid games, but they have their favorites they like us to play with them too... Memory, UNO, Candy Land, Guess Who, Operation, Trouble, Hungry Hippo, Go Fish, etc. Well, we intoduced a new game to the oldest two this weekend. I usually start with them, let the younger ones watch a little, and then let them join the fun when they think they've got it down. Our new game was Skipbo. Bobby & I played this a lot in college and it really is fun. We played many rounds this weekend which brought back a lot of memories. It is fun to be a kid again, forget the housework (for a little while), and just relax and play games. I think it is good for the family as a whole and good for the kids individually as well. Is there any special games that you like? I would love to have some ideas for Christmas presents that people have tried and enjoyed! I don't think you can go wrong with most games, but it would be nice to already know it is enjoyable before you buy it.

We like to play Mille Bornes. It's a game Mike's family played as he was growing up. We had a hard time finding it in stores and my sister-in-law found it online for us. It's a great game!
