Fun with the Fam

We had a wonderful trip to New York this past weekend. We left Wednesday around 6:00 p.m. and arrived there Thursday morning at 7:30. We stayed at Bobby's uncles home in Port Henry, NY (which was such a blessing to not have to pay motel fees--Thank you Uncle Vic & Aunt Sandy!!!--wish you could have come too). It was just perfect!! Bobby's cousin Jason & his wife Amanda and their five kids were there also staying in their camper outside the house. It was so fun to visit with them. It made a grand total of 10 adults and 16 kids (all under 9) staying together...lots of fun and many memories made. We had a blast reconnecting with all the family and got to do a lot of fun stuff as well.

Emma, Trinity and Olivia in the gardens at Fort Ticonderoga.

We went to the beach and of course the kids played and played entertaining themselves. Trinity, Emma, Zion, Katelyn and Sage work on a sandcastle.

Jason took his boat out on Lake George and we all loved it. Amanda & I took a spin on the tube and I must say my back was hurting a little when done.

A little PB&J sandwiches and watermelon for lunch...dig in!!

Trin and Katelyn doing some finger painting. They ended up painting their bodies too, but no worries...it all washes!

A group picture at Fort Ticonderoga.
Visiting with Uncle Arnold. Thanks for your prayers and continue praying that the Lord's will be done in his declining health.

Visiting with Uncle Rink. He was so thrilled to see us and shed a few tears when we left. Of course he had tons of candy for all the kids...he loves to spoil them rotten.

We had a cookout at Arnold & Flavia's for a few combined birthdays. They wanted a whiffle ball game of LaTour vs Ross. The Ross family had tie dyed matching shirts. And us LaTours had polka dot shirts with our names on it (which were made the night before so not a lot of creativity happening then). We won't tell who won the game (obviously we lost or I'd be bragging) ;0)

The LaTour team in our matching shirts.

It was sad to leave them all. We enjoyed our stay so much. I told them we won't wait another 6 years to visit again....we'll hope for another trip next summer!! Thanks again for all your prayers. We arrived home Sunday night around 10:30 safe and sound (but rather exhausted)and we don't take our safety for granted!! Thanks to everyone who made our stay just perfect. We love you all!!
