We are still on our birthday roll. Febrary is Trin's birthday month, so we were off celebrating last weekend. She had many options going through her head as far as having a party or just picking something fun to do with the family. She chose not to have a party, but go do something special with the family.
But first we must make a birthday snack for her class. Once again many choices were given, but she picked the old stand-by--cupcakes. So, she cranked out a batch of cupcakes to share with her friends at school.
Then, off to school for the normal, embarassing round of "Happy Birthday" from everyone in the lunchroom.
Trinity's choice this year instead of a party was to go to Build-A-Bear and make her own special friend. She had already staked out the place a couple weeks prior & had made her choices, so it was down to business when we got there. She chose a cute little dog as her new pet.
After stuffing, you must shower off your new pet. And of course they had sound effects & all to make the bath as real as possible.
Next would be choosing the right outfit. Once again, Trin had already picked her outfit beforehand, but that didn't stop her from looking at every outfit again to make sure she had made the right choice.
Finally, we move on to the dressing station.
Ta-Da...the finaly product. Her new doggie loves her! (actually she was covering up the sore that she has on her face) :)
Now that we have the dog ready to go, we must name her & print her birth certificate. I believe the name was first thought of by Caleb, but Trinity agreed it was perfect...Weenie.
And finally we are ready to leave with Weenie in his carrying case.
There was one more stop to be had for the birthday girl. She had spotted a cute pair of sandals in Justice, so that was the final piece of the present for the birthday girl.
And as tradition has it, the birthday girl chooses where we eat dinner. I was sad to hear Five Guys come out of her mouth. Every since I can remember she has chosen Cracker Barrel. But I guess she is turning over a new leaf this year. Since her choice was at a food court in the mall we were already at, we had some other options cause I wasn't feeling a greasy burer & fries that night.
Finally, we arrived home for the birthday cake & icecream.
Happy birthday to our sweet girl! We are so thankful you are our daughter & we pray the Lord has some wonderful plans for your life!
