Our school has spirit night (which means the school gets a percentage of the profits when you go on that night and tell the restaurant that you are there to support your school) at a couple of local restaurants. This past week we had one of those nights at Chick-Fil-A, and the kids were scheduled to sing inside to help generate more business (and that guilt tripped all parents to have to take their kids to eat & sing--well it worked for our family at least). We don't always go to spirit night (mainly because to feed our family of 7, even if it's at a "fast food" join, can be expensive), but we decided to support the cause this time around. And let me just say that I've never seen so many people packed into a restaurant before (and I guess that's a good thing, seeing the school is receiving part of all those proceeds). Honestly, they could not have fit another person even just standing in their. One of the employess even commented that they hoped a fire marshall didn't swing in because they were way beyond the max occupancy. Oh well, we all survived. The kids did a great job singing, and we spent our share of money. Glad we could help support the school, and thankful for the great turnout.
