Happy 4th!

With July 4th falling in the middle of the week this year, it was kind of weird.  But we were thankful for it none the less.  There was a cookout the weekend before at a friend's house (good food, fellowship, & fun). Then Tuesday night was fireworks in Burlington...fun, fun!  The boys camped out on top of our suburban to watch, while Trinity & I sat in our chairs below.  They all ate popcorn & enjoyed the show.

Wednesday Bobby & I were both off work, so we took full advantage.  We went for a extra long motorcycle ride in the morning & just had fun spending the morning together.  Then the day was full of canning squash & green beans, freezing okra & zucchini, swimming, and more fireworks at night.

We decided to make the trip to Raliegh to see what their fireworks had to offer. It has been many years since we've seen theirs, so we figured it was worth the drive. Well we found out differently & won't be going back any time soon. They moved the fireworks from the coliseum to downtown this year & we weren't impressed at all. But, we made some memories for sure & that's what it is all about.
