No road trip happens without a drink in hand for Bobby. He literally carries a drink with him even if we are going 10 minutes down the road. So, while making a pit stop for a drink he made a wonderful find at this gas station. We drank on our 64 oz. drinks for quite a while.
Then off to Mayberry. It seemed like such a grand idea to visit Mt. Airy (since we were already half way there camper shopping). Who wouldn't like seeing where Andy Griffeth grew up? (o.k. maybe a lot of people could care less, but we thought it would be interesting.) Well, it was nice for a once in a lifetime visit, but it wasn't exactly what I was thinking in my head (and honestly the kids could of cared less). There wasn't a whole lot to do there. For some reason I pictured it still being the way it was portrayed on The Andy Griffeth Show, but it wasn't exactly like that. Sure you could see some of the places they based the show on, but it was just another street in Mt. Airy to me. That's o.k though. It was some nice family time & we threw in some fun for the kids too. 
We had to try out Barney's restaurant while we were there. Since it wasn't meal time we just got two banana splits for everyone to share. It was a good treat.
Oh, and Trinity decided to loose a tooth while at Barney's. So much drama. ;0)
