Labor Day Camping

Another camping trip has come and gone. With Labor Day comes a 3 day weekend so of course we packed up and went camping. It was a beautiful weekend. We really couldn't have asked for better weather...cool in the morning and late night, and just plain gorgeous during the day. It made for lots of family bonding which made for many memories.

We kicked Caleb & Micah out of the camper and into a tent of their own. They loved it of course! They felt all grown up and all.

Nightly tradition after smores and sitting around the fire...everyone snuggle up to watch a movie.

Caleb pulled his own tooth out during this trip (that's one good thing about corn on the cob--it will aid in pulling a loose tooth). I guess he is now too big for dad to do the pulling. The tooth fairy came through with her promise, and the money was waiting for him on his pillow when we arrived home.
Lots of trail walking (aka hiking as the kiddos called it, but it was more of a long, relaxing walk). The longest one we did at one time was the 8K trail, and we all loved it.

We couldn't help but admire God's creation.

The dogs had their share of fun too.

Lots of good food, coffee, & smores.

Jon, Alisha & kiddos came and met us for dinner one night.
Warming by the campfire.

And lots & lots of playing.
